Public Involvement: Stage Two

Whereas the first stage was more a gathering of information, this stage of Public Involvement was more an exchange of information since we had the results of an analysis. The following outlines the "script" for a public meeting in the order presented:

1) Analysis results
   a. Background of plan
   b. Summary of stage 1 public involvement
   c. Analysis procedure
   d. Summary and discussion of results

2) Accomplishments
   a. Background information about 20 Communities effort
   b. Summary of accomplishments to date
   c. Example treatment accomplishments
   d. Example treatment needs
   e. Industry development accomplishments

3) Treatments to be recommended/discussed in the CWPP
   a. How familiar or interested are you in what has been done?
   b. What is your opinion about what has been done?
   c. What treatments are available?
   d. What treatments do you prefer with what condition?
   e. What treatments will you tolerate after other options have been exhausted?

4) Work Plan
   a. Make presentations
       of analysis results
       of accomplishments to date<
       of collaborative relationships present in County
       of the magnitude of the needs for treatment
       ie. sell plan to everyone including FS, BLM, State
   b. Market our needs and availability of raw material to industry
       incentives for locating in County
       "guarantees" of raw material
       aid in interpreting/using results of analysis
   c. Specific community/project planning
       adapt County CWPP to each community, first priority first
       address needs on all ownerships, including all fire-wise concepts
   d. Seek funding
