Independence Day Celebration in Quemado, NM

 

These community events are brought about through the hard work of the members and associates of the Quemado Auxiliary (a New Mexico non-profit corporation), the Quemado, Quemado Lake, Pie Town and Red Hill Volunteer Fire Departments, and community-minded volunteers from northern Catron County.

Funds for Independence Day and other events are raised solely through donations to the Quemado Auxiliary. If you wish, you may make a donation to Quemado Auxiliary at any time during the year. We will soon be able to accept credit cards, but in the meantime, you can mail your check to:

Additionally, a Quemado Auxiliary volunteer visits past donors and new businesses in the Quemado area to raise funds for the Independence Day fireworks.

Quemado Auxiliary board members consist of: Yvonne Armstrong, President; Kim Carr, Vice-president;, Lif Strand, Secretary/Treasurer, Jerry Armstrong and Judee Lund. The Auxiliary's purpose, as stated in the Articles of Incorporation filed with the State of New Mexico, is: To promote economic development of and support for the Quemado Fire Department, the village of Quemado and surrounding communities.
